Seeds of Nature Trail Walks in Seekonk

Posted

Seekonk, MA – Inspired by the “Plant a Seed, Read” Summer Challenge, the Seekonk Library invites you to join us on guided tours of two local natural treasures:

Friday, July 13 from 10 AM to 11 AM
Caratunk Wildlife Refuge| 301 Brown Avenue
An Audubon educator will guide us to highlight discoveries in the fields, forests, streams and ponds along the trails. A minimum registration count is required for this event; please register if planning to attend.

Friday, July 31 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM
Peck-Chaffee Memorial Conservation Area | appx 500 Chestnut Street
Sponsored by the Seekonk Land Conservation Trust, a guide from the MA Audubon Society will lead us on a discovery walk. You'll get an introduction to using the iNaturalist app on your phone to identify and record casual observations as a "citizen scientist."

All program dates are weather-dependent and participants will meet on site. Space is limited; pre-registration with an email address is required. Event updates, parking details, etc. will be sent directly to registered participants. Register for each session separately in the library’s Events Calendar at www.seekonkpl.org/events.

For help registering or for more information call Adult Services at 508-336-8230 x56130 or email library@seekonkpl.org.
