Special Trick or Treat Toddler Storytime

Ages 3-5 Read, Play, and Trick-or-Treat!
Join us for a spook-tacular Halloween celebration with a special storytime filled with spooky tales, eerie music, and fun movement activities. After storytime, children will get to “Trick or Treat” through the library, including a behind-the-scenes adventure to collect special treats! Costumes are encouraged. Please register all attendees.

Toddler Storytime

Ages 18-36 months This weekly storytime is designed for children 18 – 36 months old. The storytime will include reading a few books, followed by music, activities, movement, and yes, even bubbles! Drop in.

Babies Storytime

Ages 0-18 Months Babies, Books, and Belly Time. Baby Storytime is a program designed for infants ages 0–18 months. Bring a small blanket for your baby to sit on and enjoy a short story followed by music, fingerplays, and movement activities. After storytime, stay for a relaxed play session. Babies can enjoy belly time, which is great for building neck and shoulder strength, crawling through a tunnel, exploring toys, and looking through board books. Drop in.

Scarecrow Fest

Scarecrow Fest Community Voting
Seekonk Public Library and Seekonk Parks & Recreation invite the community to take part in Scarecrow Fest, a creative celebration of the fall season. From Saturday, October 3 through Friday, October 23, visit the library’s front lawn to view scarecrows created by community members and cast your vote for your favorites. Voting is a way to recognize and celebrate the creativity of friends and neighbors. Voting ends Friday, October 16 and ribbons will be awarded on Saturday, October 17. Every scarecrow has a story- vote by October 16 and help choose the community's favorites!

Homeschool Hangout

All ages Join us in the meeting room to meet, play, and learn with other homeschool families! Activities and games for kids of all ages will be provided. Educators will have the opportunity ask reference questions or share resources with other home educators. Drop in.

Spooky Bones and Creepy Crawlies!

Grades 3 and up Early Release Day FUN! Get ready for a Halloween adventure that's equal parts spooky and scientific with Professor Bugman! Young scientists will explore real bones and skeletons from animals, meet amazing giant bugs, and even have the chance to touch and hold some incredible creepy crawlies. Please register all attending!

Crafternoon in the Children’s Room

Build it Crew!
Tuesday, October 27 4:00 PM
Grades 1-5 Build it crew is a Lego challenge and free play for grades 1-5. Each month, patrons will participate in a Lego build challenge. During the first 15 minutes, each participant will receive a Lego box. They will then have 3 minutes to create something that resembles a specific item or theme. Parents will judge whether the creation resembles the assigned item. October’s theme is Monsters. Register.
