Kid Librarian of the Month

Ages 7-12
Stop by the Children’s Room to fill out an application for the chance to become the Kid Librarian of the Month. The Kid Librarian of the Month will be selected in the last week of the month, and their display will remain on display for the rest of the following month. If chosen, you will be contacted by email or phone. All applications will remain on file.

Preschool Storytime

Ages 3-5
At preschool storytime, children aged 3-5 are encouraged to engage with stories, sing songs, and participate in activities that spark curiosity and promote a love of books. Younger siblings are welcome too.

Toddler Storytime

Ages 18-36 Months
Toddler storytime includes reading a few books, followed by music; finger plays, movement, and yes, even bubbles!

Baby Storytime
Thursday, April 2, 9, 16, 10:00 AM
Ages 0-18 Months
Bring a small blanket for your baby to sit on and enjoy a short story followed by music, finger plays, and movement activities. After storytime, stay for a relaxed play session.

Paws to Read
Tuesday, April 7, 3:30 PM
Help your child build reading skills and boost confidence by signing up for Paws to Read! During this special program, children can reserve a 15-minute one-on-one session to read aloud to Gizmo and Pepe, two lovable Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix therapy dogs. Register.

Join us in the meeting room to meet, play, and learn with other homeschool families! Activities and games for kids will be provided. Educators will have the opportunity to ask reference questions or share resources with other home educators. Drop in.

Osamequin Farm Youth Art Exhibition - Painters Wanted!

Grades 1-5
Let’s paint! Paying tribute to Andrew Newell Wyeth, an American artist known for his beautiful and realistic scenes, you will create your own painting inspired by his work, featuring farms, oceans, and peaceful landscapes. When you finish, please leave one of your artwork pieces with us to be displayed at the Osamequin Farm Youth Art Exhibition. The exhibit will take place on Sunday, April 19, at Osamequin Farm. Sing and Dance with Greg Lato

All ages
Greg starts with a brief description of his latest children’s book and song; EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEONE, and then turns the pages of the book while he sings the song! The show continues with children’s themed songs, funny skits, spoken word segments, and other interactive fun. Dancing and singing are strongly encouraged! Register.

Creepy Crawly Creatures with Hands on Nature

We are celebrating Earth Day with Creepy Crawly Creatures! Join Hands on Nature for an opportunity to discover some fascinating local bugs - such as beetles, worms, slugs, ladybugs, and caterpillars! If the weather is nice, we will end with a BUG HUNT outside to discover more insects! Register.
