Seekonk Lions Continue to Fight Hunger in Our Community

The Seekonk Lions have been a positive presence in Seekonk for almost seventy years, and they have been ever-present partners in the fight against hunger in our community since Doorways was founded twenty-five years ago. This year, as in the past, the Lions made a large donation to the Doorways Food Pantry to help our neighbors in need. The food thus provided will grace the dinner tables of homes throughout our town in the weeks to come. There are currently over eighty families relying on the Doorways food pantry, and Doorways, in turn, relies on people like the Lions.

Over the last 25 years, over eight hundred families have received necessary support, and close to two million pounds of food has been distributed – all at no cost to our clients, and all made possible by the generosity of the people of Seekonk. Our gratitude is boundless - we are humbled by your support, awed by your generosity, and thankful for all you do. What a great town!
