This program is aimed at children with autism or sensory processing differences. There is no expectation to sit still and be quiet! Enjoy a story and then time to play with sensory toys.

Maypole Dance
Monday, May 4, 6pm on the Weaver Library Lawn
All ages. Come learn the dance, and take part in this ancient Spring celebration! Free and open to all.

MobileQuest STEM Series: Coding Basics
Tuesdays, May 5, 12, and 26; June 2, 9, and 16, 4pm at Fuller Creative Learning Center

Picky to Joyful Eaters
Wednesday, May 6, 6-7:30pm at Weaver Library
For adult caregivers of children ages 1-12. This free, interactive workshop, led by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), university educator, and mother Amber Yui, MPH, RDN, LDN, CHES, is an opportunity to explore how best to feed and parent through the formidable toddler years and beyond. Whether you are joining us to prevent or resolve common feeding issues such as picky eating, sneaky eating, or mealtime behaviors, you will learn the skills to overcome common pitfalls and nourish the growing child who is learning how to become a joyful eater. This workshop covers healthy snacking, family-friendly meal-planning, mealtime moves and countermoves, how to involve children, and numerous resources. While this workshop is developed for the parent(s) of children from one to twelve years old, grandparents, caregivers, and health professionals are welcome to register. All ages Come learn about Communities for People, a RI and MA foster care agency, while doing arts and crafts. This event is for families of all ages, and crafts include friendship bracelets and make-your-own fake plants.

Portuguese Storytime
Wednesdays, May 6, 13, and 27, 10am at Weaver Library
Ages 1-5, siblings welcome. A bilingual Portuguese/English storytime for toddlers and preschoolers led by local Portuguese teacher Brianna Medeiros.

Lindsay Meehan Musical Storyteller
Thursday, May 14, 11am at Riverside Branch Library
Ages 3-5 You'll be singing and jumping about with the whole barnyard!

Backyard Band Jams
Wednesday, May 20, 10am at Weaver Library
Ages 1-5 Have a fun time singing, dancing, playing instruments, and more - all with the theme of chicks! After the program, you can visit the baby chicks up on the children’s floor.

Preschool Development Activities
Mondays except May 25, 10:30am at Fuller Creative Learning Center
Ages 3-5 Drop by on Monday mornings for themed learning activities. Children can explore a variety of centers such as sensory exploration, numbers, letters, fine motor, pretend play and more. No registration required.

Baby/Toddler Playgroup
Fridays until May 29, 9:30-11am at Riverside Branch Library
Ages 0-3, siblings welcome. Connect with other families while your child develops imagination and social/emotional skills at our informal baby and toddler playgroup!

May StoryWalkⓇ
All day, every day, all ages - on the lawn at Weaver Library
Our May picture book is Touch the Sky by Stephanie V. W. Lucianovic. StoryWalk® is a self-guided reading adventure that is available everyday for all ages. Pages of a picture book are displayed in frames on a trail around the perimeter of the lawn at Weaver Library. The goal of the StoryWalk® is to increase children’s interest in books and reading while encouraging healthy outdoor activity for all ages, and reconnecting children and adults to nature.
