Explored the Bay at Night
GS Troop 417 explored Narragansett Bay on a perfect October Saturday night. Starting out from the EP marina before sundown to enjoying the sunset while traveling close to Prudence Island.
The number of stars we could see away from city light pollution was amazing. These scouts are planning to take a Cruise next year together - so this was their first excursion off shore together.
Own the Feed, Because you Think, Create, and Lead
On Saturday, October 24, East Providence Girl Scouts Troop 417 + 117 attended "Own the Feed, Because you Think, Create, and Lead" event to explore ways of consuming and creating media in mindful and impactful ways. The scouts explored tools and learned practical strategies to notice, question, and reshape the media around them. The program was offered by the Women's Fund of Rhode Island, Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England, Ocean State Media and the RI Girls+ Coalition.
