The GFWC Greater Taunton Woman's Club recently surprised seven local libraries with trays of decadent chocolate-covered strawberries in honor of National Library Week.
On April 22nd members Nancy Brown and Fran Perry prepared the fresh berries dipped in chocolate and filled each tray with two dozen. Attached tags read: "Compliments of the GFWC Greater Taunton Woman's Club” along with the club's tri-fold highlighting its 75th Anniversary.
Nancy Brown delivered to Rehoboth's Blanding Library and Dighton Public Library; Joyce Clark delivered treats to Berkley Library; Jen Rego and Linda Brosseau to Raynham and Norton libraries; Nancy Martin delivered to Taunton Public Library; and Diane Huling delivered to Lakeville Library.
All recipients were delighted and appreciative.
The GFWC (General Federation of Women's Clubs) is open to women 18 years and older from the surrounding area towns.
Anyone interested in joining this club may contact Nancy Martin, President, mrmartin947@aol.com, or Membership Chairman Joyce Clark at 508-823-4482 for more information.
