Agnes M. Pina, 100, of East Providence, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Pina.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Gonsalves) Gomes. Mrs. Pina worked at the former Cherry & Webb Department Store before retiring. Prior to that, she worked at Quonset Point as an assembler on the aircrafts. She enjoyed music along with singing, playing the organ and the ukulele. Mrs. Pina loved going for rides in the car with her family and two of her favorite destinations were New Hampshire and Cape Cod. She also enjoyed family dinners and especially her daughter Susan's cooking. Some of the dishes that she loved were fried clams, chicken wings, onion rings and most especially lobster. She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and she absolutely loved Tom Brady.

She leaves six children, Eileen M. Zacharie and her husband Raymond, David J. Pina, Donna J. Carnevale and her husband John, Ronald A. Pina, Susan A. Cecero and her companion George Delis and Lorraine M. Mendillo, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild plus many others who called her Nana. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Silva, George Gomes and John Gomes and mother-in-law of the late Richard Mendillo.

Her funeral will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 346 Waterman Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-7 PM
