A Scout’s Thanks for Supporting Community Service

Posted

My name is Daniel Ferreira, and I am a young Boy Scout from Rehoboth. I wanted to take a moment to express my appreciation for the way the Rehoboth Reporter shares information about troop community service events.

As a Scout, community service is a major part of what we do. Whether it’s helping at local events, assisting neighbors, or working on projects that benefit the town, these opportunities allow young people like me to give back and learn the importance of responsibility and service. When the Rehoboth Reporter gives notice to these events, it helps connect Scouts with the wider community and encourages awareness and involvement.

Seeing our troop’s service projects mentioned may seem like a small thing, but it means a lot. It shows that the efforts of young people are recognized and that service matters in Rehoboth. It also helps families and residents understand what Scouts contribute to the town beyond meetings and uniforms.

I appreciate the role the Rehoboth Reporter plays in supporting local organizations and helping keep the community informed. Thank you for continuing to highlight opportunities that bring people together and encourage service.

Sincerely,
Daniel Ferreira
Rehoboth, MA
