Elias Kaba from Seekonk Medals at Regional Youth Circuit Tournament

Elias Kaba from Seekonk represented the Rhode Island Fencing Academy & Club (RIFAC) located in E. Providence at the first Regional Youth Circuit tournament of the 2025-26 fencing season, an event which was held at the Danvers Indoor Sports Center in Danvers, MA, September 6-7, 2025. Events were divided by weapon (foil, epee, and saber) and by age group, targeting athletes from eight years old to fourteen. Elias competed in Y-14 Men’s Epee (for fencers aged 14 years old and under).

Elias displayed his strength in pools by defeating every opponent, emerging first overall after this initial round. He had three, quite straightforward, direct elimination bouts after pools with winning scores of 15 to 3, 15 to 4, and 15 to 7. Elias had a close and more challenging DE bout in the quarterfinals which resulted in a 15 to12 point loss. His overall success for the day, however, was still sufficient to earn a fifth-place medal.
