Diane Fox, 80, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Brigham & Women's Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Philip J. Fox to whom she was married for 49 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Mildred (Lane) Rowan. Diane grew up in East Providence, attending Sacred Heart School and St. Mary Academy-Bay View. A graduate of Rhode Island College, Diane was a teacher at the George R. Martin Elementary School until her retirement and enjoyed running into her former students around town. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a very active volunteer with Doorways Food Pantry, a faith-based charity that provides food support to Seekonk residents facing challenging times.

She leaves two daughters, Dr. Christine Fox and her husband Theodore Clement of Cranston and Karen Fox Heindl and her husband Brent of New Jersey and two grandchildren, Bridget Heindl and Aidan Heindl. She was the sister of the late Edward A. "Tony" Rowan, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
