Raymond L. Ricci, P.E., 93, of Seekonk, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Hanley) Ricci to whom he was married for 52 years. Born in East Providence, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Ernest and Mary (DiIorio) Ricci.

Ray’s education spanned LaSalle Academy, URI, and Roger Williams University. He was a highly regarded Professional Engineer who specialized in Plumbing & Fire Protection systems. As the department manager, he oversaw many large-scale projects for Maguire Group Inc. Ray retired from Maguire in 2000 but took on new projects as a consultant for several years. He was also an active member of the American Society of Professional Engineers. His passion for engineering began at the very young age of 8 and his inquisitive mind was always coming up with creative solutions for nearly any problem. Ray was a lifelong communicant of St. Brendan’s Church and a man of great faith. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. He bore his long illness with grace, dignity, and a great sense of humor.

He was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a cherished grandfather. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Kathleen, his daughter, Christine M. Ricci-Cooley and her husband James Cooley of Wilbraham, MA, his son, Michael R. Ricci of RI, and five grandchildren: Nicholas, Joshua, Bethany, Stephen, and Ryan. He was the brother of the late Ernest C. Ricci. A special thank you to @Home Healthcare and Southcoast Visiting Nurse Association for the compassionate care and support that was provided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to St. Brendan’s Church, 60 Turner Ave., Riverside. For online condolences visit, www.PERRYMCSTAY.com
