Rehoboth Garden Club Thank You

Posted

The Rehoboth Garden Club Annual Plant Sale Fundraiser took place at Francis Farm on Saturday May 2 and was a great success. Our most sincere thanks and appreciation go out to so many town departments, individuals and businesses including:

• The Rehoboth Selectmen for their ongoing support of our fundraiser,

• Selectman George Solas, for all his assistance and being our biggest fan,

• Tish Vadnais and the Agricultural Commission, for their sponsorship,

• Buildings and Maintenance Supervisor Mike Viveiros and his hardworking crew for setting up and taking down the tables in the pavilion,

• The Rehoboth Police Department for diligently protecting our plants and property,

• Adam Latham and Skyler Hall of Bristol County Agricultural High School for consigning Aggie grown plants,

• Sousa Family Farm on Agricultural Ave. Rehoboth, and Frerichs Farm in Warren, RI for allowing us to purchase plants at a discount, and donating prizes for our raffles,

• Cristallo Spa and Salon, Chick-fil-a, and everyone who made gift donations and bought tickets to make our prize drawings the most successful ever,

• Our devoted club members who grew vegetables from seed, dug up their own plants, and volunteered their help before, during and after the sale,

• Our hundreds of loyal customers who purchased our plants. We couldn’t have done this without you. Please know that your purchases fund scholarships for local students and help fund our civic and educational programs.

Sincerely,

Linda McHugh and Marta Caracappa, Plant Sale Fundraiser Co-chairs
