August at the Rehoboth Food Pantry – The First Harvest of Community

As August settles over Rehoboth, gardens are flourishing, families are enjoying the final weeks of summer, and our community continues to demonstrate the kindness that makes our town so special. At the Rehoboth Food Pantry, this season reminds us that every act of generosity—whether large or small—helps nourish our neighbors and strengthens the spirit of our community.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rehoboth Congregational Church for hosting a food drive during their "Name Your Price" Yard Sale. The response from the community was wonderful, and we are especially grateful to the volunteers who carefully dated every donated item before it reached the Pantry. Their extra effort helps ensure we can continue serving our clients safely and efficiently.

A special thank you also goes to the Horton Estates Birthday Group, whose recent celebration became an opportunity to give back through a generous donation of food items. We are equally grateful to the Soliday family, whose thoughtful contribution helped replenish many of the Pantry's most-needed items.

One of the highlights of the summer has been the weekly deliveries of fresh produce from Linden at Rosasharn Farm. These beautiful fruits and vegetables have quickly become something our Pantry families look forward to each week. Fresh produce is always a welcome addition, and we are delighted that other local gardeners have reached out to share their surplus harvests as the growing season continues. Your generosity brings the best of Rehoboth's gardens directly to our neighbors' tables.

We also wish to thank everyone who continues to support the Pantry through our community drop-off locations. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure that local families have access to nutritious food when they need it most.

Finally, to our incredible volunteers: thank you. Whether you are stocking shelves, sorting donations, assisting clients, or helping behind the scenes, your compassion and dedication make everything we do possible. The Rehoboth Food Pantry simply could not serve our community without you.

As summer begins its gradual transition toward fall, we remain inspired by the generosity of our neighbors and grateful for the many individuals, families, churches, businesses, and organizations that continue to make our mission possible...and as always, to our special friends at the Rehoboth Reporter!!!

Thank you for helping ensure that no one in our community faces hunger alone.

Pantry Hours: Thursdays, 2:30–4:30 PM

Food Donation Drop-Off Locations:

• Blanding Public Library
• Harvest Tap & Table
• Munroe Feed & Supply
• Land-Tek

Please remember that the Pantry building is not staffed every day, so we kindly ask that food donations not be left outside the Pantry. Using one of our community drop-off locations helps ensure that every donation is received safely and can be distributed to those who need it.

Thank you, Rehoboth, for continuing to demonstrate that a caring community grows stronger when neighbors help neighbors.
