We will be hosting the 42nd Annual May Breakfast on Saturday, May 2nd from 8-10:30 am. All are invited to attend. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, home fries, french toast and our famous cinnamon rolls and beverages. Adults $15, age 4-11 $5, 3 and under free. "The Chosen" discussion group meets weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm - this interdenominational group is focusing on the television series (thechosen.tv), and continues to gain popularity.
Every month on the second Friday, this month May 8th , we host:
At 2:30 pm Crafternoon and Color our World - it is a good opportunity for fellowship and creativity. Crafternoon is an arts & crafts group, Color our World is a water painting group.
At 6-8pm Young Adult (ages 13 -22) Coffee House & Open Mic - this event offers the opportunity for fellow musicians to gather, practice performing and socialize. Simple refreshments are offered and chaperones are on site.
Every month on the second Saturday, this month May 9th, is an all ages Coffee House & Open Mic.
A community rock choir is using our Fellowship Hall weekly through August - they usually meet on Mondays 7-9pm. If anyone is interested they can find details at: www.RockVoices.com or email: info@rockvoices.com
Sunday May 17th at 3pm we will be hosting an Oure Pleasure Singers concert featuring the premier performance of a new composition: Abyssopelagic: A Choral Odyssey. There will be an opportunity to talk with the composer Nicholas Rocha at 2pm prior to the performance. Tickets are $20 at the door or in advance at EventBrite see www.opsingers.org
We will close out the month with our annual Indoor Yard Sale on Saturday, May 30th, from 9am - 12 noon.
