Lori Lesniak and Aaron Morse won two three year seats on the Dighton-Rehoboth Regional School Committee in Tuesday’s Town Election.
1,030 voters, representing 9 percent of the town’s 11,203 voters, cast ballots.
Lesniak, a political newcomer, was the top vote getter with 638. Morse, an incumbent, received 514 votes. Richard Barrett, another incumbent, trailed with 440 votes.
Lesniak, who holds a degree in Accounting, is on the board for SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) and the district’s Wellness Committee. “I will be an active and present participant at the school committee meetings,” Lesniak said at last month’s Meet the Candidates forum.
All the other winners faced no opposition.
