Please Vote at the Annual Town Meeting next week June 2nd for article 12 in the Town Warrant for Capital Improvements from the Veterans Office, I have 2 bronze plaques, one for the Vietnam War Era and one for Global War on Terrorism plaque up to be voted on and I hope to be approved for all of my veterans who served from February 1961 to current date meaning: a current resident Rehoboth who now lives in Rehoboth but did not during the Vietnam War Era. If you were in the military in another town but served during the Vietnam War Era through November 1974 and you are reading this then please make sure, you're on my list. This is the Last Call
This includes, if you wore the uniform, Active Duty, Reserves or National Guard, you received a paycheck from the government, then you qualify to be on these bronze plaques.
We received enough funds from our fund drive for the removal of the brick stoop and constructing a brick wall in lieu of the stoop will house these two new bronze plaques.
Currently at Palmer River School, there are 4 bronze plaques, one for the Civil War, World War I, Korean War and World War II. This Capital Improvement will bring this project that was started decades ago, to finally, come to a close with a ceremony this Veterans Day, November 11 2026 at Palmer River School.
To see if your name is on my roster, please check out the Veterans webpage on the town website à https://www.rehobothma.gov/director-veteran-services
