Jaelyn Souza graduates from University of South Carolina

Jaelyn Souza of Rehoboth graduated magna cum laude in December 2025 from University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience. She is the daughter of Jared and Tracie Souza.

While at USC, Jaelyn distinguished herself through academic excellence, leadership, and research. She was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta and conducted research in the Early Social Development Lab, focusing on early indicators of autism in children. She later developed an independent research project that earned first-place honors at Discover USC. She also expanded her research experience at Brown University, assisting Dr. Barry Lester with studies on neurobehavioral outcomes in high-risk infants.

Jaelyn is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the University of South Carolina while working toward becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is passionate about supporting at-risk youth and individuals with special needs and plans to build a career in education and behavioral science, where she can make a meaningful, lasting impact.
