Harvest for Heroes: Family Fun with a Meaningful Mission

Posted

This October, Poppy’s Crew invites the Rehoboth community to come together for Harvest for Heroes, a family fundraiser benefiting Wreaths Across America and our mission to remember and honor local veterans.

Poppy’s Crew was created in memory of our Poppy, a retired U.S. Navy Cruiser Sailor, and has grown into a family effort to help ensure veterans laid to rest in our community are never forgotten. Each December, remembrance wreaths are placed on the graves of local veterans as part of Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

This year, we’re bringing the community together to support that mission with a fun fall afternoon at Terrydiddle Farm on Sunday, October 18, from 1:00–5:00 p.m.

Harvest for Heroes will feature Bingo with some incredible prizes, raffles, food and drinks, kids’ activities and more. Our Bingo prizes, raffle items and children’s activities are being donated and sponsored by some amazing local businesses and community supporters who are helping us make this a really special day. We’re still putting together all of the fun and look forward to sharing more surprises as the event gets closer!

Tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for kids, with proceeds helping Poppy’s Crew sponsor remembrance wreaths for local veterans. As an extra thank-you for planning ahead, every ticket purchased before the day of the event will also receive a bonus entry into our YETI Cooler Raffle! The prize is a patriotic YETI cooler filled with everything you need for an All-American cookout—another fun way to support our mission and maybe go home a winner!

Come play Bingo, bring the kids, enjoy an afternoon with friends and neighbors, and help us make sure the stories and sacrifices of those who served are never forgotten.
