Bishop Feehan High School Announces Top Students in Class of 2024

BFHS 2024 Top 3 hail from Rehoboth, Plainville and Attleboro

Bishop Feehan High School proudly announces its top-ranked students in the Class of 2024, each of whom has excelled inside and outside the classroom during their four years on the school’s Holcott Drive campus.

These ten soon-to-be graduates have the highest academic rankings among a class of 263. The Class of 2024 will be the 60th class from Feehan.

The top ten students (alphabetically) are: Meghan Bourque (North Attleboro, MA), Sean Callaghan (Rehoboth, MA), Nicholas Ciuica (Plainville, MA), Jillian Conlon (Medway, MA), Kate DeVincent (Attleboro, MA), Isabella Graziano (Norfolk, MA), Peter Llamas (Attleboro, MA), Alexandra Llamas (Attleboro, MA), Sofia Montano (Norwood, MA) and Molly Sullivan (Attleboro, MA).

In addition, the top three students (in order and with profiles below) are: Valedictorian Sean Callaghan (Rehoboth, MA); Salutatorian Nicholas Ciuica (Plainville, MA); Tree Dedicator (third in class) Peter Llamas (Attleboro, MA).

“Sean, Nick, Peter and the entire Feehan class of 2024 make their soon-to-be alma mater very proud,” offers Feehan President Tim Sullivan. “Our impressive top three exemplify our Feehan spirit so well. Scholars, young men of faith and service, athletes and -- honestly -- just terrific young adults. They will be terrific honorees at our senior events next week and terrific representatives of Feehan for decades to come.”

Valedictorian: Sean Callaghan
Sean Callaghan, the son of Mr. Paul and Mrs. Danielle Callaghan of Rehoboth, MA, and member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, has been named Valedictorian of the Bishop Feehan High School Class of 2024.

Ranking first out of 263 students Sean has earned a perfect 4.0 cumulative, unweighted grade point average while challenging himself with the most rigorous curriculum offered at our school.

His academic prowess extends beyond his daily high school curriculum, as evidenced by his consistent recognition on the National Spanish Exam, for which Sean has received gold or silver medals every year since his freshman year. Sean also earned a Gold Key Scholastic Writing Award for personal essay writing. Furthermore, Sean has earned the esteemed Bausch and Lomb Science Award. He was also awarded the prestigious Harvard Book Award and is a National Merit Scholarship finalist.

In addition to his academic achievements, Sean has exhibited exemplary leadership qualities. He served as the secretary of the National Honor Society and holds membership in several subject honor societies, including English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Spanish.

Beyond the classroom, Sean is a multi-talented athlete, competing as a varsity soccer player and track athlete. His commitment to sportsmanship and teamwork has earned him respect both on and off the field. Sean served as a Campus Ministry Student Ambassador. He has volunteered as an SAT prep tutor through Khan Academy's Schoolhouse program, embodying the values of service and mentorship.

In the fall, Sean will continue his studies at Harvard University, where he will pursue a degree in economics.

Salutatorian: Nicholas Ciuica
Nicholas Ciuica, the son of Mr. Gelu and Mrs. Georgeta Ciuica of Plainville, MA, and a member of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, has been named Salutatorian of the Bishop Feehan High School Class of 2024.

Ranking second out of 263 students, Nicholas has earned a perfect 4.0 cumulative, unweighted grade point average while challenging himself with the most rigorous curriculum offered at our school.

Throughout his high school journey, Nicholas has exemplified excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities. Nicholas is a member of the National Honor Society and various subject honor societies, including English, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Spanish.

Nicholas has served as the captain of the Math Team, demonstrating his exceptional mathematical acumen and leadership skills. Nicholas is actively involved with the Robotics and Computer Science clubs, where he has contributed significantly to the advancement of STEM education within our school community.

Nicholas has earned gold or silver medals on the National Spanish Exam every year since his freshman year, a testament to his commitment to excellence in academics.

Nicholas is a varsity athlete, competing on the fencing team where he is part of the men’s epee squad.

For his outstanding academic achievements, he was honored with the prestigious Yale Book Award and the Rensselaer Medal from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

In the fall, Nicholas will continue his studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he plans to pursue a degree in computer science.

Tree Planter (Third-Ranked Student): Peter Llamas
Peter Llamas, the son of Mr. John Llamas and Mrs. Catherine Coquinco Llamas of Attleboro, MA and a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, has been named tree dedicator of Bishop Feehan High School Class of 2024.

Ranking third in his overall class, Peter has been enrolled in the most rigorous curriculum offered at Bishop Feehan since his freshman year. Complementing Honors 1 core classes and the highest level offered elective classes, Peter has taken a total of six AP courses as an upperclassman. Due to his impressive transcript, Peter earned induction into the Mercy Chapter National Honor Society, as well as English, Math, and French National Honor Societies. Peter was elected to the French Honor Society as an Officer, to the Mercy Chapter Honor Society as the Vice President, and to the Math Honor Society as President, respectively. As a Junior, Peter was the recipient of the Brown University Book Award.

Outside of the classroom, Peter has been a member of the cross country team for all four years here at Feehan. He has also been an active member of Feehan Robotics, Math Team, Praise, Adoration and Worship through Song (PAWS), and Chess club, where he serves as President. Having been involved in Campus Ministry since freshman year, he was selected as Campus Ministry Senior Associate leading into his junior year. In his local community, he is a member of School of Rock where he has practiced and performed in a band for over four years.

In the fall, Peter will be attending Tufts University where he will be studying computer science.
