I wanted to personally update you about our upcoming classic car show. We were all looking forward to hosting this event on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Newman YMCA on Taunton Avenue in Seekonk.
Unfortunately, due to the weather, we’ve had to postpone the event from its original date and rain date. Well, after a meeting of the “Lion minds” we are actively going to reschedule for Sunday October 11, 2026. No rain date.
Over the past couple of months, we've seen a lot of excitement build for what promises to be a fantastic day (without rain) with great cars, music from Bodee’s “Circle of Music” DJ, delicious food and drinks, and plenty of space in the YMCA’s large parking lot to enjoy everything.
We have some exciting highlights planned, including trophies for the Best in Show (pre-1660 vehicles) and Best Truck (post-1960 vehicles). Also, on display by the Rehoboth Lions Club will be a beautiful 1978 Lincoln Town Car to be raffled off in December. Tickets will be $100.00 and a representative from the Rehoboth Lions will be there to sell tickets.
Most importantly, this event is all about supporting our community. Proceeds were to benefit the Doorways Seekonk Food Pantry, with representatives on hand to collect non-perishable food donations.
Whether you’re planning to showcase your vintage ride, participate in the raffle, bring a donation, or just enjoy the day, I hope you’ll join us on Sunday October 1, 2026. Your support means a lot to us and makes a real difference in our community.
