Russell F. Latham, 81, of Rehoboth, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was the loving husband of Virginia R. (Potter) Latham. Born in Taunton, he was a son of the late Howard F. Latham and Lillian L. (Howland) Latham.

Russell dedicated his life to serving others. He spent his career in public schools, as a teacher, director of special education, and superintendent of schools in Brockton, Dighton-Rehoboth, Berkley, Gosnold, and Easton. He was an active member of the Rehoboth Congregational Church, the Rehoboth Lions Club, the Anawan Club, and the Rehoboth Golf League. Russell was on the board of Cooperative Production of Dighton.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his loving children: Lance E. Latham and his wife Karen of Exeter, NH, Adam W. Latham and his fiancée Jennifer Smith of Rehoboth, and Tammy J. Kingsland and her husband Andrew of Taunton. He was the father of the late Roy C. Latham. Cherished grandfather of Hannah Latham, Gio Vargas, Tristan Latham, Sophia Latham, Matthew Frey, Andrew Kingsland, and Katelyn Kingsland. He was the brother of Douglas Latham of Dighton and the late David Latham.

His Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Rehoboth Congregational Church, 139 Bay State Road, Rehoboth. Burial will be private.

Friends may call Friday from the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. in the Home of J.H. WILLIAMS & CO., 210 Taunton Avenue, Route 44, East Providence, RI.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to The Alzheimer's Association, the Rehoboth Lions Club, or the Rehoboth Congregational Church will be appreciated.
