Marla H. Sohegan

Marla H. Sohegan, 66, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with illness. She was the loving wife of William Sohegan, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage. Marla was born in Ware, MA and was the daughter of Helen P. (Sexton) Harrington and the late Joseph C. Harrington.

Mrs. Sohegan was a graduate of Bridgewater State University and earned a Masters Degree from Cambridge College. She went on to have a long and rewarding career with the Bridgewater - Raynham School District. Marla was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Westport, and a member of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Marla enjoyed reading, traveling, time with family and close friends and spending summers at the beach. She will be remembered as a woman of faith and posture, who faced her challenges with the utmost dignity and grace. She was an incredibly supportive person, giving the world absolutely everything she had to give. Marla was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband and mother, she leaves her siblings, Joseph Harrington (Peggy) of Reading, MA, John Harrington(Sue)of Sagamore Beach, MA, James Harrington (Sue) of Weymouth, MA, Jeffrey Harrington of North Providence, RI, Justin Harrington (Alice) of Scituate, RI, and Melissa Grew (Paul) of North Reading, MA , and brother in law Robert Sohegan (Debra) of Cranston, RI and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
