Joan Carol Devaney the cherished daughter of Peter and Emma (Serrecchia) Zollo passed away September 7, 2023.

She leaves behind her devoted husband of 57 years John (Jack) Devaney Jr., also her beloved children,

Jennifer Devaney and John Devaney III and wife Nancy. Her granddaughters Brooklynn and Cyanna. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Janet Upton and her husband Joe and 3 nieces and their families.

She was also surrounded by her constant companion, her dog Zep.

Joan worked side by side with her mother and father for 20 years at their family-owned Daisy Mae’s Diner until it was sold in 1983.

She then was customer account executive and president of family owned 90-year-old business Devaney Tire Inc.

Joan loved people and she always took the time to talk to them, encourage and leave them with her positive energy. She prayed for the sick, troubled, and hurting people, she knew or just met.

Joan’s generosity of spirit, self, thoughtfulness, and personal strength is her legacy.

Joan’s faith in God and love for her church Our Lady of Mount Carmel guided her throughout life.

All who she touched, helped guided and supported, especially her loved family and friends, will never forget her and will miss her always.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday September 11,2023 at 10:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, Ma.

Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket.

Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
