Dighton Historical Society, Berkley Historical Society and Freetown Historical Welcome to The Graveyard

The Dighton Historical Society, Berkley Historical Society and Freetown Historical are pleased to be hosting a presentation by the Gravestone Girls "Welcome to the Graveyard" on Sunday, April 7, 2019, 2 - 4  PM at the Old Town Hall, 1111 Somerset Avenue, Dighton, MA. This presentation is free and open to the public. This program is supported by a grant from the Dighton Local Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

This adult oriented presentation by the Gravestone Girls is about New England Cemetery art, history and symbolism. Guests will hear about why we have cemeteries and gravestones; plus how the art and styles have evolved over almost 400 years.
