Virginia F. Moitoso

Virginia F. Moitoso, 94, formerly of Alford Street, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Waterview Villa. She was the wife of the late Antonio Moitoso.

Born in Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores she was the daughter of the late Manuel G. and Ana E. (Andrade) Faria. Mrs. Moitoso worked for the Davol Company for thirty years before she retired. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church.

She leaves three sisters, Ana Pinheiro, Teresa Gomes and Leonor Matafome all of East Providence and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria Freitas, Emilia Medeiros, Sergio Faria, Aurelia Perry, Luisa Andrade, Manuel Faria, Amelia Ferreira and Jose Faria.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, 79 North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
