Members & Friends,
We have a very active summer of events planned and hope you'll join us!

Thursday, June 8 - Tribute to Arthur Hazard, St. Martin DePorres Center, 160 Cranston Street, 11-3PM. Musical presentation, table display and information.

Sunday, June 18 --- Juneteenth Celebration @ Rogers Williams Park from Noon - 5PM.
RIRBPS will have a table with information.

The 'A Day in the Life' Musical Presentation will be held on:
Thursday, June 29, 5:30 - 7PM @ Wanskuck Library, 233 Veazie Street, Providence.
Wednesday, July 26, 2-5PM @ Knight Library, 275 Elmwood Avenue, Providence.
Tuesday, August 1, 5:30 - 7:30 PM @ Rochambeau Library, 708 Hope Street, Providence.

August also marks R&B Heritage Month in Rhode Island. We will be holding our Annual R&B Hertitage Month Festival (details to follow).

The Rochambeau Library will have a display at the Library to mark this designation for the month of August.

We are also asking for your help and support. We need a few more 'hands on deck' to hold these events and could use your support. If you would like to join us at one of these events and help with hosting our table, please let us know. We welcome your involvement.

It is now Membership renewal time ---
Many of you haven't renewed your membership since the hiatus marked by covid. Now is the time to show your support and help us as we continue to grow.

I look forward to hearing from you about programming ideas, board support and, of course, your membership application.

Thank you for your continued support.
