Prazeres P. Aniceto, 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel C. Aniceto, to whom she was married 70 years.
Born in Alvados, Porto-de-Moz, Leiria, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Manuel Pinheiro and Agada Costa Pinheiro. Mrs. Aniceto worked in the housekeeping department at Rhode Island Hospital for 35 years before she retired. Spending time with her family always made her very happy and she was very proud to be the matriarch of four generations. Mrs. Aniceto and her husband traveled to Portugal for 25 consecutive years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
She leaves one son, Manuel P. Aniceto and his companion Maria Arlete Neves, two grandchildren, Melissa Rego and her husband Eugene Fina and Michael F. Aniceto and his wife Michelle, four great grandchildren, Isabelle, Quinn, Mason and Sarah and three sisters, Maria Pedroso, Alice Pedroso and Idalina Silva. She was the mother-in-law of the late Mary Lou Aniceto.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday, 5-8.
