Gary D. Quimper

Gary D. Quimper, 76, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. He was the husband of the late Karen (Lapham) Quimper.

Born in Springfield, MA., he was the son of the late Donald E. and Eleanor L. (Bessette) Quimper. Gary was a self-employed welder and fabricator for many years before he retired. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Gary enjoyed cross-country traveling with his camper and spending the winters in Florida.

He leaves his partner of 13 years, Judy Carroll, two daughters, Heather Hunt and Robyn VonSchmittou, four grandchildren, Jackie VonSchmittou, Justine Dennison, Caleb Hunt and Logan Hunt and two great-grandchildren.

His funeral and calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 11:00 - 12:00 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
