Townies bop Narragansett 8-2, go to 6-0 in Division
Dylan Annicelli goes 6 innings for the win
East Providence defeated Narragansett 8-2 for their 6th division win without a loss in a Friday afternoon game at EPHS. Dylan Annicelli earned the win giving up 4 hits and striking out 7 Mariners. Tim Robitaille cemented the EP win by striking out 2 in seventh inning relief and allowed no hits.
Robitaille and Oliver Andrews each collected two hits and Colin Roche had two RBI batting in the number 8 spot. The Townies had 6 stolen bases. Brian Rutkowski, Aidan Martins, Kyler Lorenz and Roche all added hits for EP.
Narragansett broke on top 2-0 in the top of the first when a seeing-eye ground out led to the Mariner's runs. East Providence quickly tied the game at 2 and took the lead in the second on Aidan Martins RBI sacrifice fly to center. Kyler Lorenz pushed the Townie lead to 4-2 with a sharp single. EP never looked back, taking the 8-2 win fairly easily.
Jackson Hohl led the Mariners going 2 for 4 at the plate.
