Friends Of Library Hold “A Taste of Spring” Raffle

The Friends of the East Providence Public Library will hold a “Taste of Spring” raffle at the Spring Book Sale at Weaver Library, 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, from April 7 to 10. More than $350 in prizes will be offered. Included are a catering box from Jersey Mike’s Subs, tickets for a tour for four on the Blackstone Valley River Explorer, gift cards to Shaw’s Supermarket, Chomp Kitchen & Drinks and Tropical Smoothie Café. Prizes also feature breakfast and lunch at Persy’s Place, and a spring-themed hand-crafted reversible quilted table runner and placements by East Providence seamstress Sharon DuBois.

Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and are available now during library hours at Riverside Library or they can be purchased at the Members-Only Preview Book Sale at Weaver Library April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m., on April 8 and 9 during library hours at the book sale at Weaver, and on April 10 at Weaver from 1 to 3, at which time the drawing will be held. You do not have to be present to win. Proceeds will benefit special programs and concerts and will help to provide museum passes for library patrons.
