Pineview East Senior All-Stars 2024 RI District Two Champs!

The first-ever combined East Providence-Pineview Seniors All Stars team is the District 2 champion for 2024, and is advancing to States. Pineview East Little League All Star team, defeated Bristol-Warren on Wednesday, June 26th to capture the District Two title. The state tournament will start on July 6th. The team has five East Providence players on the roster: Jayden Alford; Alexavier Guevara; Brady Silva; Dominic Tavares and John Wooten. All five EP players are students at East Providence High School. Vinnie Howard of Pineview is the team's head coach, and Nate Cahoon of EP Central is the team manager. Thomas "T.J." Burns (EPCLL) and Jayden Reynolds (Pineview) are assistant coaches.

Pineview members of the team are: Joe Bernard, Jr.; Brayden Farland; Harold Fernandez; Lucas Howard; Sidney Lockhart; Nick Packer; Landen Phillips; and Charlie Waterman.

"I love to see more older boys playing City LL baseball," said coach Nate Cahoon. "Hopefully this will encourage more to do so."

The team, known to players and coaches as "Pineview East," now enters the State Championship tournament, where it will square off against the representatives from Districts One (Cranston Eastern), Three (South Kingstown), and Four (Cumberland). The tournament begins on Saturday, July 6th at 5pm at Fay Field, located at 1 Dallas Street, Cranston.
