Great Time at the Holy Cross Catholic Church
As a long-time, working Protestant, I enjoyed thoroughly (as did all who attended) the Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner held at the church, this past Saturday night.
A strong crowd of supporters came out to celebrate the passing of winter, the arrival of spring, and the continued use of this church to spread the Word. Friends and neighbors used the occasion to "get caught up." New acquaintances were made. Many brought their own bottles of wine. This was one convivial atmosphere, perfect for the time of year in which crocuses and daffodils begin to make their appearance known.
I found the playing of the old pipe-organ to be particularly noteworthy. What a fine instrument this is, foot-pedals included. Thanks to Peter G., for playing a short solo so that I might grab this picture.
Hope to see you at the next such dinner at what used to be called the Hornbine Baptist Church, now referred to as the Holy Cross Catholic Church. Wonderful night!
