Community VNA To Host The Conversation Project’s Public Engagement Initiative

How to Start a Conversation about End of Life Wishes Registration Now Open for Community Education Program

Posted

Attleboro, MA – Community VNA invites you to join us for a free educational and inspirational program about making the difficult conversations about end of life wishes easier and helps community members, families and caregivers express their wishes for end-of-life care.

Join us on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 for “How to Start a Conversation about End of Life Wishes.” This free program takes place from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Attleboro Public Library, Balfour Room, 47 North Main Street, Attleboro, Mass.

While 90% of people say that talking with loved ones about end of life care is important, only 27% have actually done so.

Talking with your loved ones openly and honestly, before a medical crisis happens, gives everyone a shared understanding about what matters most to you at the end of life. Without this, the consequences can be devastating, particularly when family members in the throes of emotional distress must make decisions while guessing what a relative would have wanted.

Together we can make these difficult conversations easier. We can make sure that our own wishes, and those of our loved ones, are both expressed and respected. Participants will receive a free Conversation Starter Kit booklet for home use.

Hosted by Community VNA, proud partner of The Conversation Project
For additional information, or to register by Friday, March 22, 2019, contact Dawn McKetchnie by calling 774.203.1307, or register online at tiny.cc/cvna01
