Annual Town Election

Rehoboth - Voters in Rehoboth will be electing officers for the upcoming terms when they go to the polls on Monday, April 1st. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Precinct I voters will cast their ballots at the Town Office Building, Precinct II voters will cast their ballots at Gladys L. Hurrell Rehoboth Senior Center and Precinct III voters will cast their ballots at the South Rehoboth Fire Station.

Positions to be elected on the ballot for 2019 are Moderator (one for 1 year), Selectmen (one position for 3 years), Treasurer (one for 3 years), Assessor (one for 3 years), School Committee (one for 3 years), Constable (three for 3 years), Planning Board (one for 5 years), Park Commission (one for 5 years), Housing Authority (three positions; one for 5 years, one for 4 years, and one for 2 years), and Water Commissioner (two for 3 years and one for 1 year). We also have one ballot questions read as follows:

Non Binding Ballot Question #1:

Do you approve of natural gas companies being allowed to extend gas lines within the Town of Rehoboth to provide the availability of natural gas service to residential and business addresses within the Town?

The final voter registration date to be eligible to vote in the Annual Town Election was Tuesday, March 12th from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Clerk’s Office. If you would like to check your voter status and what precinct you are registered, please either call the clerk’s office or check online at:

Any voter who will be unable to get to the polls on election day may cast an absentee ballot in the Town Clerk’s Office prior to that date or submit a written request to the Town Clerk for a ballot to be mailed to them. Please note that an original signature of the voter requesting an absentee ballot must be obtained before we can honor an absentee ballot request. The deadline for applying for an absentee ballot is Friday, March 29, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Even though town offices close at Noon on Friday, the Town Clerk’s Office will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Applications are available at Town Hall, the Rehoboth Post Office, and online at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/absentee/English-Absentee-Ballot-Application.pdf .

Any questions regarding voter eligibility or requests for “mail-in” voter registration forms may be directed to the Town Clerk’s Office Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 508-252-6502, X3109 or X3110.
