As we prepare to observe Memorial Day, Poppy’s Crew, the official Wreaths Across America sponsorship group for Rehoboth, is proud to announce the launch of its 2025 campaign—with the goal of honoring every veteran in the Rehoboth Village Cemetery (and to expand our efforts) with a remembrance wreath this December.
This year’s national theme for Wreaths Across America is “Keep Moving Forward”—a powerful reminder that honoring our veterans is not just a tradition, but a responsibility we carry with us as we work to ensure their legacies live on.
“Memorial Day is a time to reflect on the lives sacrificed for our freedom,” says Poppy’s Crew. “Launching our campaign now gives the Rehoboth community—businesses, families, and individuals—the chance to be part of something meaningful. Let’s ‘keep moving forward’ together, by remembering those who came before us.”
And we need everyone’s help to expand our efforts beyond the Village Cemetery
Each $17 wreath sponsored honors a veteran by name and is laid with care during a nationwide ceremony on National Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Ways to Get Involved:
● Business Sponsorships: Show your support as a local leader. Sponsoring wreaths is
a visible, impactful way to give back and be recognized. There are recognition
opportunities available in local media, onsite signage, and during the ceremony
● Individual Sponsorships: Just $17 places a live balsam wreath on a veteran’s grave
and ensures their name is spoken and remembered.
● Volunteer: Join Poppy’s Crew this December to help lay wreaths and attend a moving
tribute ceremony.

Poppy’s Crew is a volunteer-led sponsorship group based in Rehoboth, MA, created in loving memory of Edward J. August (Poppy). The group is committed to supporting Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach. Year-round, the crew works to raise funds and build community awareness so that every veteran resting in Rehoboth Village Cemetery and beyond is honored with a wreath each December
