Whiteknact’s Fifth Grade Gives Gift of Reading to Their School and Community
Posted
Fifth graders in Mrs. Almada’s ELA class at Whiteknact Elementary School advocated for the installation of Little Free Library for their school community. The idea all started with fifth grade student, Ethan Ibanez. Ethan thought it would be a great way to allow distance learners access to reading material without ever having to enter the building.
Ethan’s classmates loved his idea and immediately embarked on a mission to persuade the principal of the need for a Little Free Library. After sending persuasive emails and virtually meeting with the principal, she was sold!
This week, Ethan and his classmates held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their Little Free Library to kick off Reading Week!
