West Place Animal Sanctuary Newport Polo Fundraiser

Posted

West Place Animal Sanctuary
Portsmouth – come enjoy a great polo match and support Rhode Island’s only farm animal sanctuary!
West Place Animal Sanctuary will be having a polo fundraiser on Sunday, July14th, at The Newport International Polo Grounds, 250 Linden Lane, Portsmouth, RI, 5pm (gate opens at 3pm).

West Place Animal Sanctuary oversees several animal-saving missions including rescuing farm animals from cruelty, abuse and neglect cases, rehabilitating several species of wildlife for release, and assisting two town police departments by housing lost dogs, as Tiverton and Little Compton do not have their own animal shelters.

As a non-profit organization since 2007, West Place has helped hundreds of wildlife and dozens of farm animals each year to get a second chance at life.

Located on an 8-acre historic farm property (the Dr. Samuel West Place) and surrounded by 700 acres of preserve old-growth woodlands and pastures, West Place is ideally situated in the rural and agrarian community of South Tiverton, Rhode Island.

West Place animals participate in educational programs and community service activities, events and projects. These civic engagement opportunities help us educate the public about animal care, and about injured, disabled or abused animals and their abilities to recover, adapt and thrive either in the wild or in the care of animal welfare organizations like ours.
