Wayne F. Gage, 66, of Rumford, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was the son of the late Frank and Claire Gage.

He graduated from Rhode Island College with a B.A. in history education and received his Master’s degree in European history from Providence College. He taught English and History at Bishop Hendricken High School for over 20 years.

Wayne was universally loved by all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was quick with his witty repartee. Wayne was kind, loving, compassionate, and a fine example of a husband, father, and grandfather, and a good friend to all. He loved reading, music, his convertible, and being a member of the Squantum Association.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, his children Lauren Miklovic (Joe) of Henderson, NV, and Christopher Gage of Philadelphia, PA, and grandson James Miklovic. He was immensely proud of all that his children had accomplished.
