Townies in Playoff Action Today at Coventry

The Townies Taylor Babcock and Tanya Cooper each hit a home run and each had three hits as East Providence defeated Cumberland High 9-1 on May 26th. Tanya Cooper had 7 strikeouts for EP and Sophia Patterson relieved and tossed a K. The Townies had 12 hits in the game. Cumberland was held to 4 hits.

On May 27th the Townies lost a close 6-5 game against Coventry. Babcock and Cooper pitched for the Townies. East Providence had 8 hits to Coventry's 7. With the game tied at 5 in the last inning, Coventry scored a lone run to walk off with the tight win.
