Rehoboth PTSA “Presents”  Mrs. Mitnik the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Christina Mitnik, one of Beckwith’s grade 7 special education teachers, has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Outstanding Teacher of the Year award by the Rehoboth PTSA. This award recognizes a teacher who is supportive, helpful, and personally involved in the PTSA.  Mrs. Mitnik was "virtually" honored April 10 during the Massachusetts PTA Annual Meeting online.  Congratulations Mrs. Mitnik!

Blooms & Butterflies
April and May are months of renewal and rebirth of the Earth. Our fifth graders here at Beckwith have had the opportunity to see just this with some little critters. For the last three weeks we have been watching the wonderful transformation of the caterpillars into butterflies. Here are a few pictures of the fifth graders letting them go to live their life and pollinate our sleepy earth!

Beckwith Excellence
We are pleased to announce that 284 BMS students earned grades which allowed them to be on our Term 3 High Honor Roll or Term 3 Honor Roll which are both posted on our website.  Congratulations to those students!

Grade 8 Spanish Classes Celebrate
Senora Lynch’s grade 8 Spanish classes learned all about Cinco de Mayo and they made Mexican paper flowers as something hands-on to celebrate it. The kids had a lot of fun doing this.

Raiders Softball
The 2021 Raiders Softball Team is excited to be on the fields.  These girls have worked hard and show Beckwith Pride every time they are on the field:  Victoria D’Aiello, Hannah DeSilva, Tayla Duarte, Maggie Kazanjian, Riley Kazanjian, Haleigh Kelley, Molly LaBrie, Sara Marsella, Gia Papa, Mylee Ramer, Isabella Silva, Madelyn Simonds, and Jaiden Weremay. Coach Jerauld and Coach Patrick are looking forward to a great season.

Nurse’s Notes
The following state-mandated vaccines need to be received PRIOR to your child ENTERING 7th grade for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year:  Tdap booster

(Tetanus vaccine with pertussis/ whooping cough), 2nd Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, and Meningitis vaccine, an updated physical exam done within the year prior to entering 7th grade also must be provided to the school nurse. Your child may not start 7th grade without proper documentation of the above from your child’s pediatrician.  If the proper documents are not received prior to your child starting 7th grade, your child will be subject to exclusion from school per the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Regulations.

Students will continue to have access to the SAILS network throughout the summer. They can check out e-books and audio-books by using their student log-in credentials.  Students will also have access to encyclopedias and databases through the Massachusetts Library System.
