Stephen A. Nerone, 69, of Seekonk, passed away on Friday, January 7th,2022, in his home with his loving family by his side.Born in Providence,he was the son of the Late Mary E. and William S. Nerone Sr., MD.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; 2 sons and 2 stepdaughters, Stephen Nerone and his wife, Suzanne, and Joseph Nerone, and his wife, Allison; Jennifer Brierley, and her partner, James, Kathleen Costa, and her husband, Michael; five sisters, Margaret Bailey, Evelyn Kiley, Jane Cahan, Joanne Rafferty, Mary Willette; one brother, Joseph Nerone. In addition to his parents, Steve was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Nerone, his brother William S. Nerone Jr., and his sister, Anne Dansereau. In addition to numerous nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law.

Steve leaves behind 4 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren; Olivia, Wyatt, Julia, Hanna, Lucas, Piper, Brody, Madison, and Kayleigh.

Steve graduated from East Providence High School and earned his college degree from the Wentworth Institute. He would go on to work for ESCO Tool in its original location Needham, MA. Steve worked as a mechanical engineer for ESCO Tool for 48 years before retiring in August 2021. He was a devoted husband to his wife Beverly for 38 years before her death in 2011. Steve and Beverly raised 2 boys together. In 2016, Steve married his beloved Dorothy and would be with her until his death. He was a natural problem solver who enjoyed doing puzzles. Steve was a huge sports fan who enjoyed watching any team play that was from Boston. He enjoyed working outside, being with his family, traveling, playing golf, fishing and helped run the best Fourth of July clambake for over 30 years. Steve's quiet strength, his generosity of his time, treasure, and talents, and the love he provided his family will be sorely missed.

His funeral will be held Thursday January 13, 2022,at 8:30am from the REBELLO FUNERAL HOME,901 Broadway, East Providence, RI, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church,984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk, Ma.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery,550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:00pm-7:00pm, at the funeral home.
