Seekonk, Rehoboth Covid Infection Rates

Seekonk and Rehoboth are continuing to report high numbers of positive Covid-19 cases. According to data released by the state’s Department of Health, for the two week testing period which concluded on January 7, Seekonk reported 124 new cases. The average daily incidence rate was 63.2 per 100,000 residents. The daily positivity rate was 13.47 percent. The total case count is 779. Seekonk has been given the designation of red, which is reserved for cities and towns with the highest average of new infections. Rehoboth, which has also been designated as red, reported 96 new cases.  The average daily incidence rate was 53.9 per 100,000 residents. The total case count is 572.  The daily positivity rate was 12.03 percent.
