Rose A. (Elacqua) Henry of Rehoboth passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Harvie B. Henry. Daughter of the late Jennie M. (Venuti) and Carmen Elacqua. Loving mother of Nancy Hill and her husband Steven of Rehoboth; Karen Carr of Rehoboth; and Lisa Cuddy and her husband Tom of Stamford, CT. Cherished grandmother of Emily Foss and her husband Mike of Plainville; Mark Hill and his wife Karen of Rehoboth; Danielle Habdas and her husband Matt of Stamford, CT; and David Cuddy of Los Angeles. Great Grandmother of Hunter, Cash, Persephone, Ilithyia, and Gabriel. Rose was also pre-deceased by her sister-in-law Desiree Scully and her son-in-law Richard (Fuzzy) Carr. In addition, Rose leaves her love for her cousins.

Rose was born in Somerville, she went on in life to marry her best friend Harvie and the two of them married on November 1, 1955 in South Carolina. Then Rose and Harvie began their wonderful family and raised their children together in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.

Rose worked at Hood Rubber in Watertown as an Executive Secretary to the head of the JCPenny Department. She loved volunteering at the La Salette shrine in Attleboro in the 1960's and again in the 1990's after the death of her husband Harvie. She loved going on long vacations with her family to Daytona Beach, Florida and Cape Cod, watching her favorite show the Seinfeld sitcom, going shopping with her friends and family, and everyone always knew how much she loved wearing her high heeled shoes!

Rose made many friends in her life and she enjoyed talking on the phone with them frequently. She was a proud New Englander and a true fan of the New England Patriots. She was also a lover of big tractor trailer trucks because her husband was a long-distance trucker. Most importantly, she was proud of her Italian heritage and family roots. Her faith, family, and her home meant the most to her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12 PM at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Park St., Rehoboth. The family requests all those that attend to please wear a mask.
