Rehoboth Public Safety Day

Rehoboth’s Fire and Police Departments gathered on Redway Plain on October 12 for the town’s annual Public Safety Day.

The Massachusetts Army National Guard and National Grid gave demonstrations. There were also auto extrications and displays of fire engines, ambulances, and police cruisers.

The crew of Boston MedFlight was also present and allowed attendees inside the helicopter.

Fire Chief Frank Barresi noted MedFlight had expanded its operations to Mansfield, a seven minute journey to Rehoboth.

Baressi was impressed by the turnout for the event.

“There are three times as many people as last year,” he said.
