Patricia Ann (McCarthy) Rebollo

Posted

Patricia Ann (McCarthy) Rebollo, 75, of Pine Street, Riverside, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of John Rebollo Jr., with whom she shared 55 years of marriage filled with love, dedication, and family.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Randlett) McCarthy and was a lifelong resident of Riverside, a community she deeply loved. Patricia was a graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 1968, and later received her associate’s degree from Rhode Island Junior College.

Patricia devoted much of her life to caring for and connecting with others. She spent 27 years as a teacher’s assistant with the East Providence School Department, where she worked closely with children with special needs, always showing patience, kindness, and knowing just how to make each child feel comfortable and supported. She also spent 30 years as a waitress at Gregg’s Restaurant, where it seemed like she knew everyone. With the gift of gab and a laugh you could hear across the room, Patricia had a way of turning customers into friends and every shift into a good time.

She was a faithful member of the Riverside Congregational Church and the Riverside Renaissance Group. In 2014, Patricia helped pioneer the Food Insecurity Mission Program, later known as Lighthouse Shoppes, where she volunteered faithfully for the past 10 years, continuing her lifelong commitment to helping those in need.
Patricia found joy in many things — family cruises, a good book, music, and crafting — but her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family and friends. She also spent countless hours cheering from the fields, courts, and events of her children and grandchildren. Usually the one planning the next get-together, birthday party, or cookout, and if we were lucky, she’d top it all off with a perfectly timed limerick that had everyone laughing. Her life reflected the words she lived by: “Be good. Do good.”

Besides her husband, John, she is survived by her children, Michael J. Rebollo, Vania L. Rebollo-McVeigh, and Christopher Rebollo Sr.; her sisters, Gail Burdon, Jennifer Buckland; her brothers, Charles McCarthy and William McCarthy; and her ten cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Corey, Kylee, Christiana, Lily, Cameron, Cole, Avery, Elena, and Christopher Jr.; and one great grandchild Aria. She was the sister of the late Judith Hammond.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, in the Riverside Congregational Church, 15 Oak Avenue, Riverside at 10:00 a.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in
Patricia’s memory to the Riverside Congregational Church, 15 Oak Avenue, Riverside, RI 02915 would be deeply appreciated.
