Nicholas C. Titone

Nicholas C. Titone, 70 of Seekonk, MA. passed away on April 11, 2021, with his family all by his side holding his hands and telling him what an amazing journey that the Lord was about to bestow on him. Born in Viterbo, Italy, Nick was the son of the late Antoinette (Torre) and Francois Titone. He leaves behind his loving wife of 48 years, Dorinne. They have resided in Seekonk their married life.

Nick came to the United States at the age of 21. He had been working at the Vatican in Rome, Italy when he was given the opportunity to work and study in the United States. He took that opportunity and was sent to La Salette Shrine in Attleboro, MA to live and work. Nick arrived in the states young and inexperienced, but with maturity and a big dream. Through hard work and determination, he made that dream come true. He became a successful entrepreneur, first working for, then buying, and becoming president of Numaco packaging. Nick was very known throughout the Packaging world. He attended Worcester Junior college and went on to Dartmouth College.

Nick was a kind, thoughtful, generous, honest, and funny guy. He seemed to make friends wherever he went. Nick’s family was everything to him. No matter how busy his work schedule, he always had time for little league, cub-scouts, father and daughter dances, and everything in between. He loved watching his oldest grandson play hockey, and his youngest grandson, play the piano. Nick was a loyal fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. He also played golf for many years at Crestwood Country Club. In the summer months, he waited patiently to sit on the deck of his Narragansett home. He also enjoyed meeting his friends at Roma on a Sunday morning sharing coffee and Italian conversation.

Nick leaves behind two wonderful children, his son Jason and daughter Ashley. He was “Nonno” to two amazing grandchildren, Jake and Liam. Their mother, Maureen Titone, was such a welcome into the Titone Family. In addition, he leaves behind his sister Rita and her husband, Benito of Nice, France; his sister-in-law, Mireille Titone of Switzerland, and many nieces and nephews throughout Switzerland. From the United States, he leaves his sister-in-law Janet Rebele and her husband William; his brother-in-law, Daniel Beland, his wife Laurie, and their son Christopher and his best friend Ronald DiPietro, whom he met when he first came to this country. Nick also leaves behind his loyal dog, Storm, and Buddy, his daughter’s dog, who absolutely loved Nick. He was the brother of the late George Titone.

Nick, your family wants you to know that you will never be forgotten. You are our hero. We all feel so fortunate that by Fate, you came into our lives. If ever there was a man, husband, father, and grandfather to look up to, you would have won the gold medal. We want you to know that this is not good-by, it’s just, see you later until we meet at a more peaceful place. Take care love.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be held in Dexter Street Cemetery, Seekonk. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, from 4-7 in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Donations in Nick’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman Street, #306, Providence, RI 02906.
