Louise A. (Rapoza) Henry 95, of East Providence and formerly Warwick, known affectionately as Louise to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Evergreen House in East Providence, Rhode Island. Born on November 16, 928, in East Providence, she was a lifelong resident and a pillar of her community.

Louise was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Henry and the cherished daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (Castro) Rapoza. She carried the legacy of her family with grace and compassion, embodying the values instilled in her from an early age. Louise was a loving mother to her devoted daughter Anne R. Mohrmann of West Warwick, RI. She was a caring sister to John Rapoza of St. Johnsbury, VT, and she held fond memories of her late siblings, Virginia Cocozza, Rosaline Marshall, Anthony Rapoza, Ernest Rapoza, Robert Rapoza, and Lydia Medeiros.

Louise's warmth and kindness extended to her role as a doting grandmother to Gina Elizabeth, Dana Victoria, and Anna Leigh, whose lives were greatly enriched by her love and guidance. Her spirit will live on through the many nieces and nephews who survive her, each of whom benefited from her wisdom and generosity.

A woman of strong faith and community spirit, Louise was an active member of the Holy Rosary Sodality at St. Francis Xavier Church. Her commitment to her faith was evident in the way she lived her life and in her unwavering support for her church community.

Louise's passion for civic engagement was reflected in her volunteer work for the Republican Party. She dedicated countless hours to help with fundraising and other party activities, believing firmly in the importance of participating in the democratic process.

Beyond her community and political endeavors, Louise enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including the camaraderie and challenge of bowling. Her competitive spirit and joy for the game were contagious, making every frame a memorable one for those who played alongside her.

Louise's life was a testament to her resilience, her capacity for love, and her dedication to the service of others. Her presence was a beacon of light to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and the community she so dearly loved.

As we bid farewell to Louise Anne (Rapoza) Henry, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by enduring relationships, selfless service, and an unwavering commitment to her beliefs. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her remarkable life.
