Kids Summer Learning Center at Somerset Berkley Regional High School

The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Building Your Own Electric Guitar July 12-16 9:00am- 11:00am with Mr. Jay Duddy from Berkley Middle School. Students will get the opportunity to learn about and build their own custom electric guitar. Students will leave the class with basic knowledge of electric guitars and will leave with their own guitar! The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Creative Writing, taught by Mrs. Lauren Farinha of Joseph Case Junior High School, the week of July 26 - July 30. In this class, students' imaginations will be enhanced while writing their very own creations. They will be able to make up fictional stories, write through zany writing prompts, and create their own ending to a favorite fairy tale. The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Video Production I, taught by Mr. Jay Duddy of Berkley Middle School, the week of July 19-July 23. This class runs 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. This class will show your child how to do basic scripting, filming, editing, and effects. Creating your own TikTok, Youtube and Instagram videos is all the rage right now. Learning how to edit, script, and film correctly will give you the heads up on the competition! The 2021 Kids Summer Learning Center is offering Video Production II: A 15-Minute Movie, taught by Mr. Jay Duddy of Berkley Middle School, the week of July 26-30 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. This class is designed for students who took the first course, or for students who have video production experience. This course will focus more in depth on editing, scripting, and filming centered around a 15-minute movie that students will be producing!
