Kenndra R. Leary-Poole, 44, of East Providence passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 at her home. Born in Providence, she was a beloved daughter of Catherine A. Leary and Stephen G. Poole.

A life long lover of learning, Kenndra was a graduate of The Wheeler School (‘99), University of Virginia (‘03) and received her Juris Doctorate from University of Connecticut (‘06). In recent years, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant at CCRI and was an End of Life Doula through the University of Vermont. Always looking for ways to help others, Kenndra was a mindfulness coach and taught classes using mindfulness to assist others with chronic illnesses.

Kenndra sought joy through connecting with others, whether it be helping take care of her nieces, spending meaningful time with her family, chatting with friends or always being the person who answered the phone. She was a sister, daughter, auntie, friend, mentor, confidant, and so much more to every person she interacted with. Kenndra’s smile, laugh, hugs and words of wisdom will be missed most. Her passion was serving others through kindness and compassion. She also enjoyed reading, listening to music, painting, and a can of Coke.

Kenndra was also the loving sister of Heather, Lindsey, Stephanie, Kennard Jr. and Olivia; cherished aunt of Callie and Riley; caring niece of Michael Leary. She was welcomed into heaven by her late uncle and aunts, Leo Jr., Orianne and Jane.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 5-8 pm in Perry-McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence and where a service will take place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
